The Apple Store in Delhi may be smaller than Mumbai’s but conforms to the universal Apple retail format. Delhi’s store includes updated hardware and screens, space for classes and meetings, and “Genius groves” nested in a tree-abundant area that replaces the “Genius Bar.” The Apple store in Delhi stocks the latest products, including iPhone, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, Mac, TV lineup, and accessories like AirTag – all easily accessible to buyers.

The Apple Saket store boasts a one-of-a-kind curved storefront with white oak tables showcasing Apple’s products and accessories, along with a feature wall made in India. It also houses a designated online order pickup station. Moreover, the store runs 100% on renewable energy and is carbon neutral, making it a great step towards sustainability.

The Saket store has more than 70 retail team members who come from a combined 18 states in India and collectively speak more than 15 languages.

Tim Cook at Mumbai in First Retail Store Opening

Earlier, CEO Tim Cook was in Mumbai to open Apple’s first Apple retail store in India. Later, he went to Delhi to meet Prime Minister MR. Narendra Modi. “Apple is committed to growing and investing across the country,” Cook said in a Tweet after meeting Modi on Wednesday, hours ahead of the opening of the Delhi store.

The opening of two back-to-back stores comes at a time when Apple is deepening its reach in India, which is home to 1.4 billion people. Apple makes some of the world’s best-selling products such as the iPhone and Apple Watch and the company wants to expand both its manufacturing base and retail presence in India.

India is home to a young, working-class population who are willing to pay more for phones and laptops. This is exactly the reason why Apple opened its first two stores in Mumbai and Delhi, the two wealthiest cities in India. Apple made $6 billion in revenue in the year through to March, growing 50 percent, Bloomberg recently reported. The company shipped around 6.5 million iPhones in India in 2022, up from 4.8 million in 2021, according to IDC.
